| This is only a varsity scrimmage. We will be back at school at around 5:30 and play AV, Eagan and Edina HS's. JV and B-Squad will continue practice at LSHS from 7:30- 11:30 |
Practice will continue in the morning until school starts. Our first games are on August 27th!
Important Info
- Registration and Physicals: Registration fees and forms can be found online. You MUST be registered and have a physical on file to start practice. Registration must be done yearly and physicals must be updated every 3 years. The Athletic Office will be open Monday – Friday, 8 am-3pm starting July 31st. Get this stuff taken care of ASAP! Remember: tryouts start the first day of practice. To participate, you MUST have your physical on file and registration complete. If any part of this is not done, you will not be allowed to practice.
- Running: there will be a timed 2 mile run on the first day of practice on the track, remember your running flats. A varsity athlete must be able to run two miles in 15 minutes and thirty seconds in order to make the team. Use the summer to get into shape because we do not have time to get into shape during the pre-season. We must use that time to prepare for games. Our Pre-season is short; we need practice time to come together as a team, not to get in shape. There are five games before school even starts!
- Parent/Player meeting: there is a mandatory meeting for parents/players on Monday, August 17th at LSHS. The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. More info will go out the first day of practice as to which room.
Before you know it we will be playing our first games of the '09 season. I look forward to continuing to build on our impressive COUGAR tradition.
