Pancake FundraiserAnnouncement: There will be an Applebee's Pancake Fundraiser for the North and South girls swimming teams on Sat. July 18. Please save the date for this fundraiser. More information to follow! Thank you!! 2009 Middle School Swimming RegistrationThe 6-8 graders will have their first practice on Monday, August 31, at the McGuire Pool. Each athlete should have an athletic bag, suit, swimming goggles, and a latex swim cap for the first day of practice. Students will take the shuttle bus to McGuire after school. There will be one combined middle school team, consisting of 6-8 graders. There are no tryouts for Swimming and Diving. There are however some limitations to participation in some events. Any 7-8 grader who has competitive swimming experience, has attained one or more of the "Section Time Cuts", can try out with the varsity on August 17th. To do so, you must turn in your forms to the Century Middle School Athletic Office prior to the first workout.
2008 State MeetThe Lakeville South 200 Freestyle Relay team of Melissa McMahon, Wendy Consoer, Natalie Herrild & Hailey Campbell won the state championship setting a new STATE RECORD with a time of 1:34.80. Melissa McMahon led off with a split of 23.82, Wendy Consoer split of 24.06, Natalie Herrild split 23.81, and Hailey Campbell anchored he relay with a split of 23.11. Lakeville South and Stillwater tied for first place in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Related Info | |||||||||
