Winter Parent/Athlete Meeting
NEW DATE: Attention all winter athletes: There will be a mandatory winter parent-athlete-coach meeting Monday, November 3rd at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.
Congratulations
The Lakeville South 200 Freestyle Relay team of Melissa McMahon, Wendy Consoer, Natalie Herrild & Hailey Campbell set a new STATE RECORD with a time of 1:34.80. Melissa McMahon led off with a split of 23.82, Wendy Consoer split of 24.06, Natalie Herrild split 23.81, and Hailey Campbell anchored he relay with a split of 23.11. Lakeville South and Stillwater tied for first place in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
The Lakeville South Cougars finished the State Meet in 7th place as a team by scoring in the following events.
- The Medley Relay team of Hailey Campbell, Melissa McMahon, Natalie Herrild, and Wendy Consoer finished in 3rd place
- Melissa McMahon finished in13th place in the 100 Butterfly
- Natalie Herrild finished in 13th place in the 100 Freestyle
- Hailey Campbell finished in 4th place in the 100 Freestyle
- The 200 Freestyle Relay of Melissa McMahon, Wendy Consoer, Natalie Herrild and Hailey Campbell finished in 1st place
- Hailey Campbell finished in 3rd place in the 100 Backstroke
- Melissa McMahon finished in 15th place in the 100 Breaststroke
- The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Natalie Herrild, Wendy Consoer, Carrie Schrock, and Victoria Honetschlager finished in 10th place

Girls' Swim and Dive Section Meet
Congratulations to the Lakeville South Girls' Swimming & Diving Team for their third place finish at the Section Meet. At the section meet, the Cougars qualified for eleven events at the State meet (six individual events and three relays), and set the following three section records:
- Hailey Campbell, Melissa McMahon, Wendy Consoer, and Natalie Herrild set a new section record in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
- Hailey Campbell set a new section record in the 100 Backstroke.
- Natalie Herrild, Wendy Consoer, Carrie Schrock and Hailey Campbell set a new section record in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
Coach Ringeisen was named the Section Coach of the Year.
Football
Congratulations to the Football team on their Section Championship. The team advanced to the state quarterfinals, where they were defeated by Cretin-Derham Hall. Thanks for a great season!

Fall Activities News
We have welcomed three new Head coaches to our Head Coaching Team at Lakeville South High School:
Lynn Dalhead - Girls Basketball: Lynn teaches at CMS in the Physical Education Department. Lynn is coming to us after being the Head coach at Apple Valley High School for the last two years. Prior to her head coaching position, she was an assistant at Apple Valley High School and Eastview. Lynn is a graduate of Luther College and Apple Valley High School.
John Sylvester - Boys Soccer: John is one of five directors for the Minneapolis Soccer Club. John has spent the last 10 years as a head high school soccer coach between Minneapolis Roosevelt and his alma mater Minneapolis Washburn. John is an accomplished player having competed professionally for the Minnesota Thunder for four years. After the Thunder he has played internationals FC and the Minnesota Blast for 2 years.
Sarah Donner - Competition Cheer: Sarah is one of our own having recently graduated from Lakeville High School and St. Cloud University. Sarah has a great background as a competitor in gymnastics, competition cheer, and tennis in the Lake Conference. Sarah will teach communications at Kenwood Middle School. We are excited that Sarah is starting out her coaching career at Lakeville South High School!
